Today was my Warcraft day.  Usually I play Warcraft on Wednesdays but given that Blizzard staff were walking out that day, I decided not to log in and instead wait until today to do my weeklies.  I used it as a chance to stream and get some content for videos, the first of which has finished rendering just now.

Despite everything that is going on with Blizzard that is ruining my enjoyment of the game at the moment, I have to be honest and say that I’m loving the Campaign story lines right now.  They feel big and epic.  There’s a juicy amount of story to keep you playing for an hour or two and they seem to culminate in big story moments.

I think Shadowlands can legitimately be accused of keeping players a little too much in the dark about what is going on.  I mean, we know the what, we just don’t know the why.  But these campaign quests – complete with cinematics – are giving some big plot moments, even if they just result in further questions.

One of the reasons I like to stream is because it really makes me stop and consider the story.  The Stone Wright was a Night Warrior.  Elune was responsible for the burning of Teldrassil, which means she was possibly responsible for getting Mueh’zala to whisper her name into Voljin’s ear at the start of Legion.

I really hope I’m not just reading into the story and there’s a lot more to it.  What I especially like, is that these revelations impact a story I’ve experienced.  So to refer back to events I played three years ago, with implications stretching back five years, just blows my mind in a way that a book released five years ago does not.

It wasn’t all games though.  I progressed a number of things.   I’ve got a lot of things I’m waiting to launch and there’s a worry that I might not have time for them all, even if I was super-efficient.  I just need to trust that I’ve planned these right and I have the time.

If I’m honest, the only things that take the time are World of Warcraft weeklies and writing.  The first, there are ways around, but I doubt I’ll be able to write faster.  I’m sure I’ll find a way though without burning myself out.

Until then I still need to do this weeks weeklies on my other main.  I’ve already missed one day of rep due to the walkout… better I keep at it and get it completed before thigns get busier.
