Today was another day of editing.  Didn’t make as much progress as I’d like but I still got a substantial amount done.

Part of the reason for this is because I’d arranged to do Twisting Corridors this week with the guild.

As I’ve mentioned I’ve largely avoided doing Torghast as I could only do certain levels on my own and it was annoying to do an entire wing only to fail the final boss and get nothing.

Last week I did a bunch of Torghast to get enough soul ash for my legendary.  But there’s still the Twisting Corridors to do.

I LOVE the idea of this, but it’s not practical to do alone.  18 floors to complete a level.  That’s about 90 minutes of gameplay.  And whilst there’s no soul ash, it’s quite disheartening to invest that much time and not even come away with unlocking the next layer.

So a bunch of guildees agreed we’d do it as a team.  Dealing with something else meant that I missed when people were online yesterday and so our only other time was today.

So I made a point of saying I was available early.  And then a bunch of people said they were available shortly.

And then I had a bit of a disaster.  I realised that I’d not done the intro quest on my alliance main.  And you need to do that to unlock the Twisting Corridors.

So I raced through trying to get it done.  At first I thought it was 8 floors, then 12, and then I got told it was 18.  I skipped some mobs on some floors which is never a good idea because you miss out on needed anima powers.  As a result,  I got to the end with only a couple of lives left.

I got it done though, and pretty quickly.

We then did it as a group.  However, we found out we could only do level 1.  I thought that was because I had only just unlocked access, but apparently that intro quest IS level 1.  I later found out another player hadn’t done the intro either and was just keeping quiet.

We did 2 layers, which when you include my intro solo run, meant I did 54 floors!  No wonder it ate up most of my available time.

The thing is, I really do enjoy Torghast though.  And it’s even more fun with a bunch of players.  And the Twisting Corridors’ 18 floors means you get the chance to get some truly insane DPS.  I was doing about 100 times what I normally do.

I was also lucky in that I got good power ups in the first two runs.  Makes a change for me to be doing top DPS.

I got a pet out of it, but nothing else and I’m fine with that.  We still need to do another 6 levels so it’s going to take us some time, but we’ll get a mount we can use in the Maw as a reward, so aside from the fun, it’ll be worth the effort.

We might be able to do another floor tomorrow, which with reset could eat my entire day.

But with my renown complete, I think I’m going to put my focus on Vena’ri rep for the next couple of weeks, as she rewards some great Torghast power ups.

It was fun today, but I wish I hadn’t tried to gather people up so early so I could have got more editing done.
