Friday 9th April 2021

Today wasn’t a productive day.  They happen.

I got woken by a delivery.  Normally deliveries round here are lunchtimes to late afternoon but for some reason I must have been the first delivery of the day.  I woke to someone knocking at my door, and the sudden awakening coupled with trying to dress and get to the door before the delivery driver disappeared, left me with a headache that did not go all day.

As a result, I just wasn’t in the mood to do anything really.  I put everything off, waiting for the headache to pass, and by the time it had, the day had gone.

This evening was spent watching Hasbro Pulse Fan Fest.  After I walked away from Action-Figure, I stopped collecting.  I already have too many action figures.  But during lockdown, I’ve rekindled a bit of love for my old hobby.  I’ve been following the Star Wars Vintage Collection for months now, but in recent weeks, Marvel Legends has grabbed my attention again.

I don’t really have the funds to pick up more than a couple of figures here and there when they are cheap but those two lines seem to be drawing me in right now.

It’s a slippery slope, of course.  Start collecting vintage collection and all the 3.75” 1/18th scale figures look attractive.  And Marvel Legends is 6” scale and opens a whole new world.  But as I said to someone recently, if collecting makes you happy, then do it.

I really need to get some shelves to get my Marvel Legends collection out the containers they are in and on display.  It’s hard to think they’re nearly 20 years old.  Where did that time go?

However, the priority is going to be getting this outline finished.  As much as I’ve completed a lot recently, it’s not time for a complete break and I really need to get this outline done in the next week.

Hopefully, I won’t have any more rude awakenings leading to ruined days, and can push the wordcount to get these opening chapters complete.
