I slept badly last night. Part of it could have been me thinking about the latest revelations with my Twitter account, but I suspect it was a combination of the muggy air and my hayfever.
As a result, I’ve felt tired all day, and irritable to boot.
C was due to have their covid jab today, but when it was booked they forgot they also had workmen coming to fix the kitchen ceiling. So the plan was that I’d come and house-sit while C went and got jabbed.
I’d moved Warcraft Wednesday to today as a result, as my plan was to sit there and do this week’s world boss and rescue souls quest on all my alts.
Sat at home on the desktop, I’ve got to a stage where I can power through. However on a laptop, it just became laborious, probably in large part due to my sleep-deprived mood.
I got them all done though. Surprisingly the workmen still hadn’t turned up when C got back, only to find out they’d sent an email yesterday changing the date. This annoyed me slightly. Whilst things do happen, I’d rearranged my day to house sit when I didn’t need to and could have been getting on with other things.
Like writing, for example. I’d hoped to do some early before I went to C’s but I used that time to talk to the ICO regarding the Twitter scandal, and then write a pretty stern email. Whether the company responds to it remains to be seen. But the plan is to start causing a right stink on Monday.
I also want to, at some point, post all the back issues of The Climb. That’s going to be a big multi-day job and I was thinking of waiting until the first draft of The Accursed was DONE – which after today, feels like it will never happen.
Of course, all the editions need editing, and some of them… well I’m not sure what they were trying to say.
But that’s a problem for next week. Tomorrow I want to make up some wordcount. I’d wanted something like 15k words this week. I feel I’d be lucky to have done 5k at this point.
