Wednesday 2nd June 2021

Wednesdays is my gaming day, dictated by the World of Warcraft weekly resets.  As with previous weeks I went through the long and laborious task of doing the weekly world boss and souls quest on all my level 60s.

It took me about 5 hours.  I’m pretty sure I could be faster, but it’s meant to be a bit leisurely.

Truth is, I currently have a bit of Warcraft burnout right now.  With the raid done and almost all my characters leveled to 60, I just need to do some professions.  But I’ve really not been playing outside of weekly quests and raids.

Instead, my focus has been on Fortnite as I need to get everything completed by the weekend as the season ends then.  I’ve been doing pretty well.  C seems to have given up and I offered to play for them but they have made so many excuses that I’m not sure I can be bothered.

The plan had been to get some writing done this afternoon and try and repeat yesterday’s amazing sessions, but I ended up getting Fortnite quests done.  I made a lot of progress and have nearly got everything done

As a result I only got in one very late evening writing session.  Still it was over 1000 words so I feel that’s acceptable.

I’d like to get the first draft of this novel done by the end of the month, and am aiming to make a big push on it in June.  Of course, I still have a bunch of other tasks to do on which I made no progress today.

But then, as I see it, I need to get Fortnite complete by the weekend, so it probably made sense to take my gaming day and use it for that as well.  It’s almost as if Wednesday is becoming my day off… not that I can really afford to take days off right now.

I just hope come tomorrow that I’ll be able to pump out a number of writing sessions and be able to maintain yesterday’s pace.
