Wednesday 31st March 2021

I’ve felt exhausted all day.  I’m not entirely sure how late I stayed up last night doing all the last bits of editing on 4S but I think it was really, really late.  As a consequence, I woke today not feeling rested.

I’d made plans with the guild to do some Torghast runs as we work our way up the Twisting Corridors.  I’ve been doing some work on my Vena’ri rep so I could unlock some Torghast upgrades and just managed to do that before we did a run.

With it being reset day I was on early, although part of the reason was that because of all the time changes for British Summertime, I’m not exactly sure what time it is to meet folks from Europe who go by system time.  For some reason my laptop shows system time but my Desktop shows British time.  It confuses me loads and so I tend to get on early just to make sure I’m not late.

With renown done, The Maw has been may main focus the last couple of weeks.  I’ve not played a huge amount outside of raids for the simple reason that there’s not much going on and I’m down to levelling my priest and mage and they are painful to level.

There’s rumors that the next patch might not come out until August, which surprisingly has made me feel a little more focused to get onto leveling the rest of my characters up so they’re ready for 9.1

But it was Torghast today, and that was a lot of fun, even if it does take a good 90 minutes a floor.  We did 2 and then did Uldir on Normal which was a bit of a challenge for 4 of us, but still fun as I’ve never done it before.  Hopefully by the end of the expansion I’ll be soloing it.

By the time I finished it was late after noon and I realised I’ve done absolutely no writing work done today.

In the back of my head, there’s certainly plot ideas mulling around, but I really didn’t give it any focus at all.  After all the work I’ve done on 4S, I honestly deserve a day off.

Weirdly though, I came across an old Facebook post in my memories.  I apparently finished the 1st draft of 4S exactly 6 years ago.  That’s pretty weird as I wasn’t aware.  I hope that’s a good sign.

We’ll find out next week.  I’ve decided with the Easter holidays it’s pointless sending it before mid-next week as no-one will be working to look at it.  Instead, I’m going to work on a few other pieces so that I can hopefully send along an outline or two.

There’s still plenty of work that needs doing, but given how fried I was today, I think having a gaming day was probably the right call.

Back to work tomorrow, though!
