Today’s been a bit of a busy day.  It started with a trip to Morrisons for the avocado I needed for breakfast.  The weather really seems to have turned in the last week or so with frost on the ground and a need to wrap up warm.  I suppose it’s not surprising given that it’s nearly December but It feels like we skipped autumn and went straight to winter.
I was waiting for a delivery this morning.  I back a lot of boardgame Kickstarters and have a tendency to go all in.  This usually results in a very large box being delivered.  However, I was a bit surprised recently when I had notification of a second delivery for a kickstarter I bought last year.  I’d received the game and a load of expansions so thought they’d made a mistake and had sent it to me twice.
But no, turns out I went even more in than I thought and this was the second half of the delivery, comprising of even more expansions.
I’ve decided, mainly on account of space (but also partly due to finance) that I need to cut back on the kickstarters.  I figured that if I was willing to spend money with a chance of no return, I should look at investing.
This is part of the reason I’ve been researching Cryptocurrencies.  I’ve been watching loads of videos on trading them and have been interested in dabbling in it.  Of course, with Bitcoin at an all-time high, now is probably the worst time to invest… but I’d probably only invest a small amount just to play with and get some experience.  However, today’s stories of a price drop, and problems on some of the exchanges causing people to lose loads of money have acted as a warning.  Not that I intended to be, but don’t get greedy.
I popped into the day job this afternoon, which mostly resulted in me being on conference calls with people in the same office with such a bad connection, I would have had a better meeting if I’d dialled in from home.
I ended the evening going to swordfighting training.  I’m still not feeling like I’ve found my mojo again.  In many ways I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to be there.  But I was pleased I forced myself to go, even if it was just making myself attend.  I’ve got another 10 days until my next tournament so I plan to just force myself to attend and then hope that by mid-next week my post-tournament mental exhaustion will have passed and I’ll be feeling a bit more motivated.
I didn’t bother staying for the pub but that didn’t seem to get me home any earlier.
It’s been a busy old day and I feel I accomplished a lot whilst also not completing much either.  I’ve got a busy end to the week too so it doesn’t look like there’s going to be much let up.  I just wish I could get some of the major tasks looming over me complete.
