As you may have seen over on Instagram, I’m pleased to announce I will be teaching at this year’s Fightcamp where I will be running a workshop on active use of the buckler, looking at various Italian systems.
I’ve run a version of this workshop at School of the Sword over the years and students have always reported back this has massively helped their sword and buckler. We’re all unfit and rusty after the pandemic break, so this will be a low energy workshop where we will mostly be working at flow speed. I aim to give you some tasks and exercises for you to take away and work into sparring.
The workshop will be on Friday afternoon so I hope those of you attending Fightcamp will come along and learn how to incorporate your buckler into a more active part of your attacks in sword and buckler.
