Today, I’ve just been feeling pretty flat. I’m not in a bad mood, nor do I feel ill in any way, I just have had a day that can be best described as meh!
Typically, this is a sign I’m a bit rundown, but usually that’s accompanied by a ton of preceding work. I’ve been working hard the last few weeks, but I don’t think I’ve been going flat out.
The only thing that has really put me in a bad mood is my computer. It’s only just over 2 years old and I don’t think the components should have gone that quick. Yet, the warranty from the company doesn’t cover the warranty of the parts and now, to return it to them to get them to even look at it, it’s down to me to arrange and pay the courier. I feel the sale of goods act applies here, but I just don’t have the mental energy to fight it.
As a result, I’ve just had a meh! Day. Whilst I did get some Minecraft done in the evening, even popping on that felt like too much effort.
I hate it when I’m like this. As stupid as it may sound, I prefer it when I know the reason. It’s easier to write off the day. Instead, I’m left second guessing what’s up with me.
I suppose after all the effort of getting my Twitter back, to have a new hurdle makes me feel like there’s nothing but obstacles in doing what I need to do. I also suppose that after paying £400 for a new graphics card when it’s not that has pissed me off somewhat.
So I got nothing of value done today, which just compounds the issue.
Given that I have Fightcamp in a week, perhaps I might take a mini break next week. I’m already nervous about it: both in being around people for the first time in 18 months, being unfit and unable to fight and actually teaching a class.
I did finish the day off with doing some Minecraft. On a positive note, that game is so easy to play on iPad, I’m genuinely impressed. I don’t think I’m playing the game properly as instead of strip mining for diamonds, I’m clearing land for a massive farm and started building a Windmill last night. It’s looking pretty good.
As for writing, I know what I need to write but just didn’t have the energy for it today. Whilst the book is progressing according to plan, it just seems to be dragging on a lot longer (and a lot more wordcount) than I expected. Hopefully, I’ll find the energy to do a bit tomorrow, as whilst I do have THAT moment where I hate the novel I’m writing, this isn’t one of those spots and I’m quite enjoying it.
And as for Warcraft, I didn’t even bother logging in today. I still need to do some thing to improve my raid gear but the daily korthia grind is pretty much over (except for grinding the second rep which I only really need if I craft). I still need to do my main, but like everything else, that can wait until next week.
I’m probably best taking a couple of days off and coming back to things again on Monday
