I realise I’ve been fairly quiet on the blog front so far this year, but I’ve been incredibly busy working away at various things. However, I will be taking a break away from all that to attend Eastercon next week.
Whilst I’ll mainly be found hanging with all the usual reprebates in and around the bar, I do have one panel I’ll be on.
All Roads Lead to King’s Landing
Sunday 11:30 – 12:30, Room 8&9 (Hilton Deansgate)
Of all the challenges inherent in writing epic fantasy, perhaps one of the most significant is choreography: the need to ensure plotlines converge in the appropriate place, at the appropriate time, in the appropriate way. How can writers make sure their epic narratives stay coherent, and what do they do when their characters have other ideas?
Fiona Anderson (M), Sebastien de Castell, Adrian Faulkner, Freda Warrington, Adrian Tchaikovsky
It looks like it’ll be a brilliant weekend, and I’m really looking forward to this panel which should be a lot of fun. If you’re going to be at Eastercon, be sure to come up and say hello!
