So after what has seemed like an age I can finally talk about a couple of sekrit projects that I’ve been working on, revealing everything about Project Octopus and as a result, uncovering the beans on Project Calamari. Needless to say tentacles feature very prominently in both projects!
And what’s more, it won’t be very long before you’ll be able to enjoy Project Octopus!
Bring on the Cephalopocalypse!

For the last few months I have been sitting on a secret, the biggest secret of all. I got a book deal. Yes, The Four Realms is going to see publication at the end of the year with Andy Remic’s Anarchy Press.
As far as book deals go it’s far from the biggest out there, but they are a respected publisher and most importantly, they get the book and love it. They also put up with my grand plans, offer advice and let me go off and do all the things I say I am going to do. I’m not going to get rich out of it (no quitting the day job just yet!), but I will put out a book that I am intensely proud of.
I’ve put a page up on the site with all the relevant details (and my first blurb!) that you can find here.
Friends know just how hard I’ve worked on this novel and it’s great to be able to finally share the good news. I’ve been going around with an enormous grin on my face since August and I don’t think the news that the book’s getting published will EVER get old.
So, if you like your vampire action with a bit of bite, wondered what would happen if vampires went up against shape-changing cephalopods, want to see some fantasy settings that aren’t medieval and think it’s about time that Urban Fantasy got some serious OAP action heroes then you might like the novel. It’s a fast-paced, fun adventure and if this sounds like your type of book, I hope you’ll check it out.
In the meantime, I’m working on Project Calamari, or as can now be revealed, the sequel, The Thieving King. I’m having a lot of fun writing this and revisiting the characters. It only hit me the other day on the way back from my NaNoWriMo group that this is the official sequel to a proper book. I may have squee’d… loudly!
